Custom: describe what the camera should see

What Custom is

The listed activities are plants, cooking and gym. For anything else, Custom lets you write a short description of what the camera should see, between 5 and 120 characters. For example, "a guitar in my hands" or "an open book I'm reading". At check time the prompt shows your description and the vision model judges the burst against it.

Experimental, and not benchmarked

More leniency means the check is easier to pass, and also less able to tell the real thing from a convincing stand-in. Treat a Custom streak as a nudge with a camera attached, not as hard proof.

How to write a good description

• Describe what is visible, not what you feel. "me stretching on a yoga mat" works better than "getting more flexible".
• Name one or two concrete things. An object plus an action: "a dog on a lead outside", "a drawing or painting in progress".
• Keep it short. A clear sentence fragment beats a paragraph.
• Skip habits a camera cannot see. Meditating with your eyes closed or thinking through a problem will not show up on camera. Pick something visible.

Reading, practising an instrument, walking, tidying, drawing, flossing, or drinking water. These are ideas, not promises: none has been benchmarked, so results will vary.

Privacy is the same

Custom works like every other check. A few frames are sent for a check and never stored, and we keep only the verdict, a timestamp and the confidence. Your description is sent with the check, so avoid putting anything private in it. You can delete your account from inside the app.
